Packing for Disneyland

12/11/2017

Last weekend (Nov. 30 - Dec. 4) was our four night trip to Disneyland. We had three days in the park, and got to Anaheim at about noon on Thursday. We had a wonderful time, and I’ve actually got a few different recaps that I wanted to share with everyone.
I took a lot of pictures (I’m sure I drove Brian crazy) over the course of our trip, and even posted a few live videos on my Facebook page. The first thing I wanted to share though was our packing list!
Something to keep in mind is that this packing list is only for two adults, and not accounting for things you might need for kiddos. We also were packing for fall versus summer, and not planning for things to entertain us in line.
While this list is everything (mostly) that we packed, we definitely didn’t use everything! Am I the only one that always packs my own hair dryer and literally never uses it?

This list also doesn't include our basic clothes that we packed. We basically packed what we needed for all of our days, plus an extra outfit.

We also didn’t realize what a pain bag check was going to be until the second day. On our first day we had about five different bags inside our backpack, and made sure we didn’t make that same mistake a second time!

Our Packing List (with notes)
  • iPhone charger (for both my phone and my iPad)
  • Apple Watch charger (obviously for my watch)
  • Three micro-USB chargers (to charge Brian’s watch and our two batteries)
  • USB-C charger (Brian’s difficult phone and also his Nintendo Switch)
  • Water bottle (to fill up while in the park)
  • Disney Gift Card (I had a set amount on a gift card that we used for all our meals/drinking)
  • iPad (I loaded Guardians of the Galaxy and a few episodes of Stranger Things for the plane rides)
  • Swimsuits (we never touched them)
  • Cash (for tipping our shuttle driver and housekeeper)
  • Snacks (we had a few Larabars and olive packets for me and a few jerky sticks for Brian)
  • Wristlet (I hate the idea of taking a purse into the parks. I just made sure I had my wristlet easily accessible on top of my backpack)
  • Battery packs (Brian misplaced his the night we were packing, so we ended up only taking one)
  • Sunscreen (also never touched)
  • Sunglasses (SO thankful that we packed them! I’d suggest getting a cheap pair though, incase something happens to them)
  • Raincoats (didn’t use them at all - it was originally supposed to rain but never did)
  • Headphones (perfect for movie watching on the plane)
  • Headphone splitter (we plugged it into my iPad for our movies)
  • Headphone adapter (never used it but you never know with that darn iPhone X)
  • USB Hub (worked out perfectly in our room, on the desk)
  • Deodorant
  • Face wash
  • Moisturizer
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Body wash
  • Essential Oils
  • Vitamins
  • Emergen-C (we took some the morning we left home and again the morning we were coming back)
  • Razor
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Ibuprofen (thankfully didn’t have to use)
  • Hand lotion (it’s so dry down there)
  • Nail file (used it more than once)
  • Nail clippers
  • Hair dryer (never touched it)
  • Hair straightener (almost used it once, but didn’t)
  • Hair ties
  • Minnie ears (wore them for a total of 30 minutes on our first day)
  • Nike’s (broke them in prior to our trip and was so glad I did)
  • Disneyland tickets (literally the most important thing to pack)
  • Shoe horn (I used it every day)
  • Contacts (I wear daily contacts and brought 6 pairs, just to be on the safe side)
  • Glasses (I wore them on the plane both ways)
  • Hand sanitizer (used it after pretty much every ride)
  • Makeup (that was my way of protecting my face from the elements)
  • Light jacket (I brought a North Face and wore it basically as soon as night fell)
  • Sandals (only brought them for the pool but never went)

Do you have that one item you can't live without when you travel? Anything you would add to the list?
