No generic trips. No generic advice.

About Kayla

Travel advice from someone who actually travels.

Hi, I'm Kayla Renee — travel advisor, podcast host, and the person your friends call when they're planning a trip and don't know where to start.

I've been helping people plan travel for a long time. Longer than it's been my official job title.

The Origin Story

It started at Disneyland.

In 2008, I joined my first Disney College Program — working outdoor vending at Disneyland. I went back in 2010 for Quick Service Food & Beverage at Roaring Fork inside Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World. And again in 2013, working Merchandise in Asia at Animal Kingdom.

Three programs. Three locations. A lot of time spent inside the machine that makes Disney magic happen.

By the time I left, I knew Disney better than most people who'd been visiting for decades. So when friends and family started planning Disney trips, they asked me. And I loved helping them.

That informal role turned into something real in February 2017, when I became an official travel advisor. What started as Disney trip planning grew into something bigger — cruises, international travel, Europe, the Mediterranean, custom itineraries for people who wanted a real trip, not a template.

How I Travel (And Why It Matters)

I don't have a single travel style — and I think that makes me a better advisor.

I've done solo trips. Guided group tours. Weekend escapes with one other person. Full-on adventure travel. I'm genuinely down for most things, which means I can meet you wherever you are when it comes to travel.

Some places I keep going back to:

  • Greece — the Mediterranean is one of my favorite places on the planet, and Greece sits at the top of that list

  • Italy — the food, the history, the way time feels different there

  • England — I've spent enough time around the country that it feels familiar in the best way

I'm not giving you advice based on what I read online. I'm giving you advice based on where I've actually been.

Let's Just Go — The Kayla Renee Travel Podcast

Beyond the advisory side, I host Let's Just Go — a travel podcast where I talk through destinations, share trip recaps, give honest takes on what's worth your time and money, and basically treat every episode like a conversation with a friend who happens to know a lot about travel.

If you want to get a feel for how I think about travel before you ever book anything, start there.

What Working With Me Looks Like

I'm not a booking engine. I'm not going to send you a generic itinerary and call it personalized.

When you work with me, you get:

  • A real conversation about what you actually want from a trip

  • Recommendations based on firsthand experience — not just what looks good on paper

  • Planning that fits your travel style, budget, and travel group

  • Someone in your corner from the first question to the last boarding pass
